Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Tortellini:
- 12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

Instructions:
- Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning on both sides. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes per side, or until they are fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside to rest. Once rested, slice the chicken into thin strips.
- Cook the tortellini: In a separate pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions (usually about 3-4 minutes for fresh tortellini). Drain and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet used to cook the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add sun-dried tomatoes and cheese: Stir in the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. Continue to stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using) to taste.
- Combine the chicken and tortellini: Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and stir gently to coat. Then, add the sliced chicken on top and stir until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for a pop of color and flavor. Serve the Marry Me Chicken Tortellini immediately and enjoy!
Tips:
- Make it spicy: If you love heat, feel free to add more red pepper flakes or some crushed chili peppers.
- Veggie option: Add spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini for extra veggies and flavor.
- Make it lighter: Swap the heavy cream for half-and-half or coconut cream for a lighter option.
- Leftovers: This dish makes fantastic leftovers! Just reheat gently on the stove with a splash of chicken broth or cream to bring it back to life.
