Ingredients:
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup apple pie filling, chopped into smaller pieces
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Prepare the crescent dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into the pre-scored triangles.
- Make the filling: In a small bowl, mix together the chopped apple pie filling, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using).
- Assemble the bombs: Place a spoonful of the apple pie filling mixture in the center of each crescent roll triangle. Carefully fold the edges of the dough around the filling, pinching the seams together to form a ball. Make sure the filling is sealed inside the dough.
- Coat with butter and sugar: Dip each apple pie bomb into the melted butter, then roll it in a mixture of granulated sugar and brown sugar to coat evenly.
- Bake: Place the apple pie bombs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Finish and serve: Once baked, remove the bombs from the oven and let them cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar for an extra sweet touch, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes:
- If you like a bit of extra caramelization, you can drizzle a little caramel sauce over the top of the bombs before serving.
- For a fun twist, you can add a few mini marshmallows along with the apple filling for a gooey treat inside.
- You can use homemade apple filling or any store-bought apple pie filling for convenience.
- For a crispier texture, brush the dough with a little extra melted butter before baking.
