A rich and creamy chocolate fudge made with simple ingredients like heavy cream, butter, and chocolate chips. It’s perfect for cold weather, cozy moments, or as a gift for chocolate lovers. Indulge in this easy homemade treat that’s guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare your pan: Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it for easy removal of the fudge later.
  2. Melt the butter and cream: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter and heavy cream. Stir occasionally until the butter is completely melted and the cream is warmed through (but not boiling).
  3. Incorporate cocoa powder: Whisk in the cocoa powder until smooth and fully incorporated into the cream mixture.
  4. Add the chocolate and condensed milk: Stir in the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Keep stirring until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  5. Add flavorings: Remove the pan from the heat, then stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt (if using) for a rich, balanced flavor.
  6. Pour and spread: Pour the fudge mixture into your prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula. Let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  7. Chill to set: After cooling, transfer the pan to the fridge for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge has completely set and is firm to the touch.
  8. Cut and serve: Once the fudge is fully set, use the parchment paper to lift it out of the pan. Cut the fudge into small squares and serve.

Tips:

  • Chocolate variety: Feel free to use any type of chocolate you prefer—dark, milk, or even white chocolate! Each will give the fudge a different flavor profile.
  • Chill faster: If you’re in a hurry, place the fudge in the freezer for about 30 minutes to speed up the setting process.
  • Add-ins: Mix in mini marshmallows, crushed candy canes, or chopped nuts for extra texture and flavor.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  • For an extra creamy texture: Use a combination of semisweet and milk chocolate for a smoother, creamier result.
