Butterfinger Balls

Butterfinger balls are a quick, no-bake treat packed with creamy peanut butter and the crunchy sweetness of Butterfinger candy bars. Dipped in smooth chocolate, these bite-sized goodies are perfect for parties, holidays, or satisfying your sweet tooth!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 6 regular-sized bars)
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional, for smooth dipping)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Butterfingers:
    • Place the Butterfinger candy bars in a resealable plastic bag and crush them into small pieces using a rolling pin.
  2. Mix the Filling:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Butterfingers, peanut butter, softened butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until a thick dough forms.
  3. Shape the Balls:
    • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until firm.
  4. Melt the Chocolate:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth.
  5. Dip the Balls:
    • Using a fork or toothpick, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, coating it evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off, then place the coated balls back on the parchment paper.
  6. Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Tips for Perfect Butterfinger Balls

  • Use a Cookie Scoop: For uniform sizes, use a small cookie scoop to portion the dough.
  • Add Texture: Leave some Butterfinger chunks slightly larger for extra crunch.
  • Room Temperature Before Serving: Let the Butterfinger balls sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for the best texture.
  • Freeze for Later: These treats freeze well; just thaw in the fridge before enjoying!
