Grinch Christmas Truffles

These Grinch Christmas Truffles are a fun, no-bake holiday treat inspired by the classic green character! With a creamy white chocolate center, vibrant green coating, and a candy heart, they’re perfect for parties, gifting, or just spreading some holiday cheer.

Ingredients

Truffle Base:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips, melted

Coating:

  • 12 oz green candy melts (or white chocolate with green food coloring)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)
  • Red heart sprinkles or candies

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Truffle Base:
    • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until a thick, dough-like consistency forms. Stir in the melted white chocolate until fully combined.
  2. Shape the Truffles:
    • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes, or until firm.
  3. Melt the Coating:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy melts and coconut oil (if using) in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Alternatively, melt over a double boiler.
  4. Dip the Truffles:
    • Using a fork or candy dipping tool, dip each truffle into the melted green coating, ensuring it’s fully covered. Let the excess drip off before placing back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Decorate:
    • While the coating is still wet, press a red heart sprinkle onto the top of each truffle.
  6. Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes, or until the coating is set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Tips and Tricks

  • No Candy Melts? Use white chocolate chips and add green food coloring for the coating.
  • Heart Sprinkles: If you can’t find heart sprinkles, use a small dot of red icing or a mini candy.
  • Storage: Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Gift Idea: Place truffles in decorative boxes or tins for a festive and thoughtful holiday gift.
